Former England half-back Rangi Chase has signed a new contract with Betfred League One club Doncaster.
Even the 33-year-old one-time Man of Steel started playing at July after the completion of a two-year suspension for cocaine use with the South Yorkshire club and has decided to extend his stay until the end of 2020.
“I’m pleased to get it over the line,” Chase told the club website.
“In my mind, I was constantly going to remain here but it’s very best to get it sorted and I can look forward to the future.”
Doncaster chief executive Carl Hall stated:”Rangi has shown his class both on and off the pitch since joining the club and has awarded us an additional danger in our attacking game.
“[Head coach] Richard Horne made it obvious just how important it was that we have the deal completed, together with Rangi being such a significant player and other nightclubs demonstrating a keen interest in him.
“To get procured his signature for second season is massive for our team.”
