Giro d’Italia winner, Richard Carapaz will join Team Ineos by the start of the 2020 season.
Even the 26-year-old Ecuadorian has agreed a deal and adds to an already impressive stable.
Team main Sir Dave Brailsford – whose group have won seven of the last eight Tour de France titles – said:”He’s clearly a fantastic climber but also has great flexibility as he revealed at the Giro before this year.
“He’s still relatively young and I don’t have any doubt that he could develop and improve even farther at Team Ineos.”
Before this season, when he succeeded at the Giro, carapaz became the first riders to acquire some Grand Tour.
He explained:”I’m very enthusiastic about joining the group. I feel that this is a good chance for me to keep expansion and my development as a rider, working year in, year out.
“I believe I’ll fit into this group well and race to my entire potential over the coming years. I wish to achieve some wonderful triumphs for Team Ineos.”
Meanwhile, tour champion Nairo Quintana is currently linking Arkea-Samsic on a three-year thing.
The Giro, who won the Giro d’Italia at 2016 at the Vuelta and 2014, has also double finished runner-up in the Tour de France.
