Facet Tigres scored two goals since the players from opposing side Veracruz went to strike throughout their league game’s opening moments.
Veracruz stood as Tigres went up 2-0, before heading on to win 3-1 and protested over salaries.
“They understood that people were planning to remain still for 3 minutes, it’s sad,” explained Veracruz shield Carlos Salcido.
However, Tigres’ Guido Pizarro stated:”They told us they were going to stop just for a minute and after that it was three.”
He added:”We [Tigres] would only remain still for a minute.”
Veracruz are bottom of the table without a win in 13 matches and their players applauded their Tigres counterparts in the end of the match.
Tigres are next, three points.
