The Way to Merge Fraction Odds to Decimals
Convert a percentage strange into a decimal odd by dividing the first number (the numerator), by the second number (the denominator), and including 1.
Equation: (numerator/denominator) + 1 = decimal odds
Example: 6/5 is equivalent to 2.20. Split 6 . This equals 1.20. Insert 1, and you had the decimal 2.20.
How To Convert Decimal Odds To Fractional
There are two steps to convert decimal odds to a fraction.
Measure 1) Convert decimals chances to a fraction by subtracting 1, and using 1 as the denominator.
Example: 3.40 — 1 2.40. This creates the decimal chances of 2.40/1.
While this is a totally great percentage, bookmakers never use numbers with decimal points in fractionals. That’s why we need step two.
Step 2) We now need to turn this percentage to its most simple form. Locate the nearest whole integer (i.e. no decimal place). The variable to which you want to multiply the numerator to the whole integer is represented in the denominator.
Case in point: You need to multiply 2.40 by 5 until it becomes a round number, 12. Therefore the percentage becomes 12/5. (2.40 x 2 = 4.80, 2.40 x 3 = 7.20, 2.40 * 4 = 9.60, 2.40 * 5 = 12)
The Way to Workout Implied Probability From Fractional Odds
Divide the second number (denominator) from the total of the initial number (numerator) and next number (denominator).
Equation: Denominator / (numerator+ denominator ) * 100 = suggested probability
Example: 4/1 implied probability can be calculated as 1 / (4+1) * 100 = 20%
The Way to Work Out Implied Probability From Decimal Odds
Split 1 by the decimal, and multiply it by 100%.
Equation: (1/ decimal odds) * 100 = suggested probability
Instance: 1 /4.00 * 100 = 25%
