Sir Anthony McCoy and Quizical win Pat Smullen race

Smullen’s fame helped create the star-studded throw for your race.
After being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, the former stable jockey of dermot Weld was forced into retirement and he was not able to ride in it himself as he’s undergoing another round of therapy.
Clearly moved by the event, Smullen said:”I’m really pleased for Sheila and John Lavery who have the horse. John was made up when he made AP to find this result is what everybody wanted and to ride on the horse. It’s absolutely wonderful. I’m overcome.
