After Hamburg spectacularly blew their promotion chances last year, they go again for one more year from the second-tier. They have started well, but with four points from their starting two, and now I am backing them to conquer a Bochum side who have only 1 point and six concessions out of their first couple.
An amazing 4-0 away beating of Nurnburg in their final trip sees Hamburg head to this one teeming with optimism.
Next up, I am financing Vitesse to conquer Zwolle from the Eredivisie with a -1 handicap.
Vitesse have beaten Zwolle in their past few meetings–all of which by a margin of at least two aims –and from what we’ve seen already this year, it’s hard to envision a different outcome.
The visitors lost their opening two games of the year 3-1 against Utrecht along with Willem II, while Vitesse drawn with Ajax in their opener before beating the aforementioned Willem II 2-0 on the street.
Evens looks a price that is good.
Huddersfield have seemed awful this season, and with all the strain already cranking on supervisor Jan Siewert, I am financing another home defeat — now against Fulham.
So far this year, the Terriers have lost at home to Derby, attracted at QPR and finally on Tuesday were dumped out of this Carabao Cup by League One Lincoln.
Fulham also started off badly with a beat at Barnsley, however a good home win against Blackburn caught them back on track, and I think they have far too much quality to fall points against a Huddersfield ensemble who look bereft of any kind of confidence.
