Sprinter Richard Kilty has voted to captain Great Britain by His Own team-mates in the World Athletics Championships at Doha.
The European indoor champion that is double is part of the 4x100m relay group and will be currently preparing for his fourth straight World Championships, which begin next week.
Kilty stated:”It feels incredible. It is always a massive honor to be a symbol of to be chosen as captain feels excellent although the British group.
“It will definitely go down as a special moment in my sports career. The squad is so talented with many celebrity athletes.
“A lot of the athletes in the group have leadership skills and might do an amazing job at being captain. It makes it extra special my fellow athletes also have selected me as their own captain.
“I have a excellent story to tell and I will try my best to inspire the group every second from my group address and also on a daily basis over the duration of the bible.”
Kilty, 30, won European gold and will be reigning Commonwealth champion in the event.
He won the 200m in the European Team Championships last month, coming within 0.05 moments of his greatest best of 20.34secs place in 2013.
