(CNN) — Tiger Woods has shown he underwent knee surgery a week and says that he hopes to return to golf in October.
The Masters champion announced he had arthroscopic surgery to fix minor cartilage damage in his left knee.
The 43-year-old stated he’ll return at Japan — in the new occasion — that the Zozo Championship of the PGA Tour in 24-27 October.
“I am walking and expect to resume clinic within the upcoming few weeks,” the 15-time key winner mentioned on Twitter. “I anticipate playing and traveling in Japan in October.”
Woods in recent years has undergone four surgeries including spinal fusion operation in 2017, and has had several procedures on his knee over the course of his profession.
His physician Dr. Vern Cooley said he expected Woods to make a”full recovery”
“We did what was wanted, and examined the whole knee. There were no additional difficulties,” added Dr. Cooley, who was also a part of the team that carried his reconstructive ACL surgery in his knee after his 2008 US Open success.

Woods ended an 11-year wait if he won the Masters but since he has missed the cut in the Open and the PGA Championship.
He pulled out of the Arnold Palmer Invitational earlier this season with a neck strain and complained of stiffness and soreness in his back in the Open.
“I am just not moving nicely,” he told colleagues at Royal Portrush. “It’s just the way it is. It’s just a number of procedures and father time I have had over time. It is only the way it is going to be.”
Woods withdrew at New Jersey from the month Northern Trust citing a side strain but returned for the BMW Championship at Medinah Country Club.
He failed to qualify at East Lake, last September, where he clinched his first success for five years.
