Signora Cabello retired by trainer John Quinn

Last year’s Queen Mary winner Signora Cabello was retired at Ayr.
The Camacho filly was beaten on her racecourse debut but then won at Bath, before moving on at Royal Ascot and shooting a Listed race.
She affirmed that up by winning a Group Two, the Prix Robert Papin, and ran with great credit to be next in the Prix Morny throughout a season.
Her significance to Phoenix Thoroughbreds, that bought on the eve of her Royal Ascot victory in to her, cannot be overstated – according to CEO of her owners, Amer Abdulaziz.
“She had been our first Royal Ascot winner,” said Abdulaziz.
“It’s no exaggeration to say in the time that result was more significant than winning any Derby in the entire world. Royal Ascot is watched by Everybody, and it put us on the map, particularly.
“She’s been an excellent filly to us, and we thank John and his team for all the brilliant work that they did together with her. I’m sure she will make a great broodmare, and now we look forward to welcoming her very first progeny.”
