‘Odd’ities from a Wild Week 1 in the NFL

Ahead of the first quarter had been over in Jacksonville three star players were out of this game and did not return.
New Jacksonville quarterback Nick Foles drop as he broke his left collarbone and chose a tremendous hit. Foles is predicted to be outside for two months.
Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Tyreek Hill left the game and has been hospitalized after a clavicle injury.
Jacksonville linebacker Myles Jack was somewhat overly”jacked up” as he was tossed in the game in first quarter for combating and going after a formal.
Minnesota Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins made this record. What I mean by that is in a 16-point win in home versus the Falcons, that he was a measly 8-for-10 passing for 98 yards.
For an NFL match, he tried 10 passes although I am sure the Vikings do not care since they won. That is definitely a different way.
A story of 2 halves happened between the Jets and the Bills.
Things could not have gone for Bills quarterback Josh Allen. Allen had four turnovers in the first half (two fumbles and 2 interceptions, one for a pick-6) and the Patriots found themselves being shut out in halftime.
Longtime ESPN announcer Chris Berman would say,”no one circles the wagons like the Buffalo Bills.” That held true in the second half as Allen brought the Bills back 16 as he struck John Brown with the game-winning touchdown with just three minutes left. Allen and buffalo proceeded to beat the Jets 17-16.
The Baltimore Ravens unleashed about the Miami Dolphins by carrying mercy on these and scoring 42 points but hung a 59 spot on them.
That isn’t the”strange”ity, however. What is the”peculiar”ity is that the Ravens outscored 12 teams from the first quarter (21 points). The dozen were both the Packers, Bears, Browns, Dolphins, Falcons, Bills, Jets, Bengals, Giants, Bucs, Steelers and so forth.
Colts kicker Adam Vinatieri had a Sunday to forget. In a match that went into overtime, the 46-year-old future Hall of Famer missed two field goals (one has been out of 26 yards) and an excess point. This was the first time at his profession he missed an excess point and two field-goal attempts .
Vinatieri has ever really missed a PAT and a field goal in a game seven times in his profession. A number of those seven matches for Vinatieri came in September.
36-year-old journeyman quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick of the Miami Dolphins is going to be known for a significant fact. Together with the Harvard graduate’s lone touchdown pass against Baltimore, he became the first quarterback to throw at least one touchdown pass for eight NFL franchises.
Let me allow you to refresh your memory if you are trying to recall the groups .
Fitzpatrick’s teams:
2005 St. Louis (YES… the St. Louis Rams)
2008 Bengals
2009 Bills
2013 Titans
2014 Texans
2015 Jets
2017 Buccaneers
2019 Dolphins
For what it’s worth (besides adhering across the league and ongoing to collect a paycheck), congrats Ryan Fitzpatrick.
