Three-time Solheim Cup captain Juli Inkster opened a two-shot lead Going into the Last round of the Senior LPGA Championship at Indiana.
The 31-time LPGA Tour winner was over after nine holes of her opening but has battled back on the leaderboard after 36 holes in The Pete Dye Course.
Inkster posted a 69 together with 2017 champion Trish Johnson part of a three-way tie for second next to American duo Moira Dunn-Bohls along with Jean Bartholomew for to three under, in blustery conditions on Tuesday.
I really drove the ball really well today, so I received a lot of wedges in, Inkster said. I kind of struggled with my space control but its difficult with all the end.
I didnt get it quite close, however I had a great deal of opportunities on the market. A couple bad bogeys with wedges in my hands, but overall, I thought I played well
Inkster started the day three strokes back from pacesetter Jill McGill but mixed six birdies with three bogeys in her approach to moving into upper spot, as McGill slipped down the leaderboard with a 79.
Dunn-Bohls held a share of advantage while Johnson and Bartholomew equally birdied the continue to sign up for rounds of 71 and 70 respectively.
Rosie Jones and helen Alfredsson share place, while defending champion Dame Laura Davies lies six strokes off the pace and at a tie for ninth that also contains Wales Becky Morgan.
