It takes 20 years to build a reputation and five minutes to ruin it. If you believe about that, you’ll do things differently. -Warren Buffet
If more firms — specifically online sportsbooks and casinos — followed this advice, betting online would be much more fun…and not as stressful.
I’d bet that BetOnline wishes they did. They have made choices a couple of years back that’s probably cost them thousandsof thousands, possibly even millions of dollars, because of lost business from poor PR.
We are going to be sharing some cases of these with you in our inspection. Because while we wholeheartedly recommend BetOnline to our visitors — and believe that now they’re a safe and legit gaming company — we believe you have the right to know the whole story before deciding to play here.

WHAT DID BETONLINE DO?

First Things First: What Did BetOnline Do Exactly?
What just did BetOnline do to make a lot of people mad?
We believe a better question is this: what did not they do?
BetOnline’s poor choices spans the spectrum of unethical behaviour, which range from telling enjoys to withholding cash to having poor security.
There are plenty of examples we could show you. But LegitGamblingSites.com has already done the job for us. They uncovered several examples, which you can find for yourself in their BetOnline review.
Here’s our TL;DR version:
BetOnline Told a Fib
When BetOnline first introduced their poker merchandise, they whined about what system it was around. They claimed to be on the Hero Poker Network, even though they were actually on the Action Poker Network. There were stories about the way they were about the Chico Poker Network, but then were kicked away.
Later reports (from BetOnline) indicated that things were nice and mended, and that BetOnline had been (and still is) about the Chico Poker Network.
Odd thing to like about, eh? (Though we might lie too if we had been on a shoddy network like Action.)
Everyone agrees that BetOnline lying was a stupid move and a bad approach to market a new product. It doesn’t instill confidence. And it makes you wonder: why do they lie about something so trivial in the first place?
$60,000 Confiscated for No Reason
There have been many, MANY reports about BetOnline confiscating money out of customers. The reasoning was almost always because the client supposedly cheated, even though no proof was provided from BetOnline (in the examples we have read).
1 case that caught our attention was of an expert who had 60,000+ confiscated because BetOnline stated he cheated. They refused to send him all his hands, but did offer to send him the hand histories which revealed him cheating (for proof).
He never got them . What he did get was empty promises about how they had been on the road, and also the runaround when they never showed up. They told him they couldn’t send him the hand histories because the files were too large.
(Anybody who understands anything regarding online poker and hand histories — let alone about downloading files into your computer — understands what a crock this is. And, why wouldn’t you send evidence someone cheated in case you have nothing to hide?)
Eventually Sportsbook Review (SBR) got involved and assisted the participant get his cash back. His final update mentions being alleviated about how it worked out for him personally but also stated the exact same thing happened to his buddy.
Chip Dumping $50 Means You Owe BetOnline $30,000+
In this example the player did do something wrong — he chip-dumped to his buddy. But here’s the kicker:
He chip-dumped to his buddy at a HEADS UP table where nobody else would be hurt. He did it so his friend might have an extra $50 to play with at BetOnline.
The humorous part is that they were playing from the exact same house at the time. Most sites would not even let two individuals from the exact same IP address sit down at the same table but BetOnline did.
The individual had his account suspended (way after the fact, whereas many sites would’ve caught it much sooner), which no disputes thinks was a wrong move on BetOnline’s part. What’s however, is the way they needed to also take his $37,000 he earned since that episode.
Forum members suggested that most legit sites would not have allowed two people from the exact same IP to sit in precisely the same table. And, if they did, the moment they guessed chip dumping had happened, the player’s accounts would come under inspection. He’d not have the chance to earn the $37,000.
However, now that he did, BetOnline wanted it. But, technically, the money should go to whomever was hurt by this player’s actions (that wasn’t any one). So it is ridiculous BetOnline believes they need to be able to keep it.
BetOnline Knows Your Passwords
The last example we want to talk about is an instance in which a BetOnline rep outed how the staff understood their client’s passwords and login numbers. It is possible to see the live chat log here.
The original poster has a good point. If everyone in the business has access to your login information, what’s stopping them from conducting a VPN, logging into account and taking your money?
The BetOnline rep didn’t have a fantastic answer, only a”ha ha fine grained.”
Scary stuff. Scroll down the discussion thread and you’re going to see more examples. It’s ridiculous.
What’s even more ridiculous is how these examples are a drop in the bucket in comparison with the sheer variety of (similar) complaints against them. A quick Google search for”BetOnline scams” will also keep you busy.
Subsequently BetOnline Does Something Funny: They Acquire SportsBetting.ag
During precisely the exact same time BetOnline was fighting, SportsBetting.ag was struggling to. They were trying hard to cover their clients.
Thent a few months after a story broke — BetOnline acquired SportsBetting.ag.
The crazy part was not so much the purchase, it was the fact that BetOnline also agreed to be on the hook for all the current and previous payouts. Even after all of their stingy-like shenanigans.
An excerpt from SBR:
Most importantly, the new investment team is committed to get SportsBetting.ag winners paid in a more expedited manner.
“The new shareholders unconditionally guarantee past and future payouts from SportsBetting.ag,” the rep said. “However, as there’s a sizeable backlog of pending payouts, they have to be run through various fraud checks, fulfilled and guaranteed. When the backlog is complete, clients will experience drastically enhanced payouts thanks in part to updated payment choices, such as same day options.”
No one knows exactly how much BetOnline needed to make in previous payments. In fact, BetOnline was reportedly”shocked” to find over $1.5 million in obligations that wasn’t reported by the prior direction. I think it would be safe to presume that the past debts exceeded $1.5 million — and apparently BetOnline has paid off it.
What Does That Mean for BetOnline in 2019? What Does That Mean for You?
Frankly, we’ve had a hard time finding anything negative to report about BetOnline from within the last year or so.
There are some complaints; normal stuff all businesses face that we will address in the future in our review once it makes sense. But it appears to us like the vast majority of BetOnline’s issues are over.
They even have satisfied clients, if you can believe it.
Now, what exactly does that mean to you? Should you forgive and forget? Are they secure enough for you to join, make a deposit and playwith? We will be honest — there’s no way we would have played BetOnline back in 2011-2012 if we’d known or heard about any of those reports previously. Nobody in their right mind could. You’d be safer lighting your cash on fire.
And we don’t wish to downplay the mistakes they have made. Lying, making baseless accusations, withholding funds and insecure software isn’t to be taken lightly.
But as purchasing SportsBetting.ag and incorporating new management to oversee operations, things have improved drastically. So much so that we’re comfortable now recommending them to our subscribers.
And it’s not only us. When you have a look at other BetOnline reviews, then you will see similar thought processes. Typically the reviewers first condemned them for their actions (in 2011-2012) and advocated NOT playing with there, simply to have a change of heart once they saw just how much BetOnline changed.
So, here is where we stand on the issue —
BetOnline has made mistakes and is far from a perfect sportsbook, poker room or casino. They had and continue to have their own shortcomings, the latest of which we emphasize in our review below.
However, as best as we can tell, they have righted their wrongs and continue to improve what they currently offer players. We feel safe using accounts .
It’s up to you to choose if you are feeling the identical way.
2019 Main Review of BetOnline
Together with their past out of the way, let us jump into what is important today — and that’s what BetOnline provides in terms of banking, gambling options and promotions.
Deposit and Cash Out Options, Fees and Time Frames
BetOnline offers a good selection of banking choices. However, you will want to keep in mind that what’s available to you will be determined by your geographical area.
Let us start with their deposit choices.

The biggest complaint about deposits are their 6 percent fees for debit and credit cards. They’re one of the only sites that charge for (credit/debit card) deposits. Bovada’s one of those other ones, charging 4.9 percent.
Cash Outs
When you are ready to cash out your winnings, you can utilize:

What I don’t like is how you are going to pay a commission for every single banking choice. Even bitcoin, which is typically free in most sportsbooks and casinos. But here you’ll pay a 2% fee.
Nevertheless, I’ve seen firsthand reports from customers who say they have received payments over 10 days, bank transfers over 3 days and bank wires in 2-3 days. This is fast considering they are from the US market.
BetOnline says nothing about it in their site, but I have seen reports which indicate BetOnline provides you a $50 credit monthly if you place in your request on a Friday. In many cases this will not cover the entire fee, but it’s far better than nothing.
BetOnline’s Products: What Would You Bet On Play?
BetOnline is an”all in one” business. That means you can bet on sports, play casino and poker games.
Their longest reputation, and probably most popular solution, is that their sportsbook. So let’s begin there.
Bet on Sports, Horses and Financials
BetOnline offers action on sports, horses and finances.
Within their sportsbook they more or less cover the most popular sports in america. Included in these are:
Auto racing
Baseball
Basketball
Boxing
Cricket
Darts
Soccer Golf
Hockey
Martial arts
Rugby
Snooker
Football Tennis
Lacrosse
Softball
Olympics
eSports
You can also wager on stocks and prop bets on these markets:
Canadian Soccer Cycling
Formula One
Darts
Hockey
Horses
Professional Football
College Football
Pro Baseball
Pro Basketball
College Basketball
Women’s Pro Basketball (WNBA)
Rugby
Soccer One option they have added lately is eSports. It is no surprise really, given how quickly that industry is growing. Every bookmaker is leaping on the bandwagon and offering odds on each of the greatest tournaments and leagues.
BetOnline is, too, even though it looks like they’re only dipping their toe in the water to check the temperature.
I say that because — as of right now — that they just have moneyline odds for one match-up / league. Compare that to Bovada who’s covering 5+ matches across about 10+ leagues/tournaments.
It’s a big difference. I mean, who would you rather go to for eSports gambling?
That being said, I think that it’s a fantastic idea to give BetOnline the benefit of the doubt…for now. It is possible they’re still trying to find their bearings in this growing marketplace. Maybe they have plans to expand their eSports options in the near future.
What they do have going for them is their chances on the match-up I’m comparing to Bovada. They are offering marginally better pricing for the exact same exact match.
There’s no way to tell whether that’s going to be true, nor will it matter if they never expand this section of the sportsbook.
However, it’s reason enough to keep your eye on these.
They offer live gambling also. These options change constantly, of course, to match with what events or games are moving on. When I last looked they’d lines for soccer, tennis and baseball. You might even keep track of a couple games concurrently utilizing their multi-event tab and program for future games with their live betting calendar.
1 thing they’re known for are the higher-than-average betting limits. These range from $1 to $25,000. Most markets will probably max out at between $1,000 to $3,000. But it only depends. You can also raise your wagering amounts by telephoning their Player Services.
Their sportsbook additionally runs a reasonable number of promotions, and far more than you will see in their own racebook and financials segment combined. A few of the better choices include:
50% Welcome Bonus — Get a 50% match on your first deposit up to $2,500.50percent Kickoff Reload — Get a 50% reload bonus up to $1,000. Live Bet Free Play — Get a $25 free play. This is less or more insurance — make a wager and if you lose, they will reimburse you up to $25.
Beyond that you will see a listing of races on their main webpage. Each record tells you how many open races there are, which should you click it will expand to reveal the horses, races, jockeys and odds.
If you’re unfamiliar with their site or horse gambling, a fantastic section to look through is that their racebook information tab within their own navigation. Here you’ll find information on:
Their monitor limitations. This lets you know the max you can bet per race.Payoff odds. Find out how much you will make if your wager (s) win.Their principles and the types of bets you may make.Horse betting tips, FAQs and phrases (in case you don’t understand what a word or term means).
It’s a good section if you’re new to horse gambling.
And that’s about it. This section is much more compact than their sportsbook.
That said, their racebook does have a couple offers also, though nowhere near the quality or quantity their sportsbook offers.
Here are some of these offers:
Track Rebate — Get a 7% rebate on your bets daily without a min volume or caps on how much you can earn. $25 Risk Free Bet — Make a bet for the very first time from the racebook. If you shed BetOnline will reimburse you up to $25.
Last up is that their financials section. Here you can wager on currencies, indices and commodities. Your betting options include signature, range, turbo and one touch. The assets/markets it is possible to wager on will depend on your wager kind.
This segment looks like an afterthought. It certainly doesn’t get the focus or marketing BetOnline’s other segments do.
Their poker room is one of the most well-known alternatives for Americans. They’re part of this Chico Poker Network, who is 13th in overall traffic positions, but is 3rd for US poker sites. When I last checked they’d about 2,100 players on their website.
In 2016 BetOnline conducted a much-needed software update. In the past they had several complaints about the quality of their software. This included complaints about fuzzy graphics, bad sound and animation quality.
But following their upgrade we have seen hints they might have some of the best software in america marketplace.
From worst to best at one update? That might be pushing it. But based on the images I’ve seen, their applications DOES look better.
However, there are still a few areas BetOnline can improve.
Right now they have a download for PC and Macs. But they don’t have some choices for mobile players, which we think is a no-brainer in this era. They also only offer holdem, omaha and 7-card stud. It would be wonderful to see more game choices.
In general, however, it is wonderful to see they’re making improvements and are getting more aggressive with what other high tier US poker sites offer.
Speaking of that, some of their poker offers or promotions include:
Welcome Bonus — They’ll match your deposit 100% up to a max of $2,500. They cover this out to you 5 at one time. You will have 60 days to clean the offer. $50,000 GTD — They are running a $50,000 warranty for $99. $90,000 Guaranteed — BetOnline promises greater than $90,000 in championship prize pools each and every weekend.
They have a couple of leaderboard and cash race challenges, also.
And it is not exactly a”bonus,” however, the matches here should be softer due to the US traffic and also the crossover visitors from their sportsbook or casino. Earning money from their poker tables should be easier here compared to other poker (just ) sites.
Casino and Skill Games
Here you’ll find a great deal of game choices which range from table games to slots to video poker and skill games. Their games come from both Rival Gambling and BetSoft software, each of which are famous for creating topnotch games. Here’s how their games breakdown:

LIVE CHAT (for actual cash accounts only)
1 thing to point out here are the reports I’ve seen about the way BetOnline’s support is unfriendly.
One example came out of a poker player turned site reviewer. He shared his experience, which was among the worst I’ve heard , let alone heard about BetOnline.
Here’s an excerpt from Gambling the Odds:
Since BetOnline’s poker software is not high-quality, I anticipated them to excel at customer services. How else can you explain the popularity of their poker room?
Turns out I was wrong, big-time. In reality, during their live chat service (and that I just need to mention it in this BetOnline review)I had the worst customer service experience in my entire life so far.
After the live chat session began, I needed to wait a couple of minutes before the customer service person bothered to answer, not only entirely ignoring my question but asking for my password and username as well. Can you feel comfortable entering your username and password to a live chat box? I sure did not.
I clarified that I don’t want to input that information into a chat area and, what’s more, the query requires no such advice because it had been about BetOnline.ag in general. I had to wait for ten minutes for”assistance” (I use that word loosely ), while getting”Thank you for waiting. I will be with you in only a moment…” every now and then.
Nevertheless, I have also heard the opposite. A reviewer who plays on BetOnline says they provide exceptional customer service. In addition, he states that your very best bet is to benefit from the live chat (only available to account holders).
Their experiences are polar opposites. This suggests to people that BetOnline might have inconsistencies with how they handle customer care…an
