Lincoln boss Danny Cowley has denied that he has held talks with Sheffield Wednesday.
After the clubs agreed reimbursement, the 40-year-old, who did lately admit to talks with Huddersfield, admitted to being frustrated at the continuing speculation linking him.
“It’d be wonderful to put it if I can, however, you guys always appear to learn more than I do,” he told a press conference on Thursday.
“We have talked about Huddersfield. There has not been any contact from Sheffield Wednesday.
“I can not control what people write or say. All I can do is restrain where my focus lies and that is fully on the game ahead from Wycombe Wanderers on Saturday.”
Huddersfield are about the search for a new manager after sacking Jan Siewert four games.
Cowley has turned into a candidate for jobs at divisions after over three years in Sincil Bank, which has added returning the Imps to League One as League Two champions last season.
