It still feels as though the 2016 presidential election never stopped, considering how often we still hear about it in the news, but we’re already on the point of yet another election. A number of Democratic challengers have emerged with an eye on taking Donald Trump’s present chair at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. These challengers will be participating from the 2020 Democratic Party this week.
Trump won the’16 election in shocking style on a Hillary Clinton. Clinton failed to effort in a number of important states that finally swung in Trump’s favor, which ended up deciding the election. We are going to see if the eventual Democratic nominee learns from Clinton’s mistakes over the following year.
Trump, of course, formally announced last week that he is going to be running for re-election also. The 2016 campaign was ugly with Trump and Clinton constantly going back-and-forth, and one would imagine we are likely to see more of the exact same in 2020.
As of now, there are a number of 23 major Democratic candidates vying for the presidency. Former Massachusetts governor Bill Weld is exploring a struggle to Trump from inside his own party, but now, Trump seems to be a lock to earn the Republican nomination once again.
After this week, most of the Democrats from the area will get together on the debate stage for the first time. As there are so many candidates, though, the debate is going to be divided up into two distinct events on back-to-back nights. Half of those contenders will debate Wednesday night in Miami, while the other half will do so on Thursday night at the exact same venue.
Three candidates haven’t gained sufficient support in the surveys to be eligible for the debate stage. They are Wayne Messam, Steve Bullock, and Seth Moulton. Every other significant candidate will probably be there, and there are really prop bets available to those wanting to make things more interesting by placing a little money at stake.
A few of the props involve the president himself, while others are more concentrated on the upcoming arguments. Let us break down some of the props available at Bovada before the first round of Democratic presidential debates.
