Sands Of Mali to defend crown in Ascot feature

Sands Of Mali is being ready to repeat last year’s success in the Qipco British Champions Sprint Stakes at Ascot following month after being absent since the Royal assembly there.
Trainer Richard Fahey reported that the four-year-old to have recovered from the aggravation he endured beaten in June at the King’s Stand Stakes.
The Musley Bank handler is convinced that this fall, his top-class sprinter can put that setback behind him.
“He came back from Ascot somewhat tender, but he’s grand back and now full in training,” said Fahey.
“The race in Ascot will be his target. I’m sure he will return.”
Week space Traveller, winner of the Jersey Stakes, is on track to proceed on a trip to Ireland for the Clipper Logistics Boomerang Stakes on Saturday.
Connections are eager to head above a mile in Leopardstown for the Group 2, as Space Traveller’s owner Steve Parkin sponsors the race beneath his Clipper Logistics banner.
“We’re content with him. He is whether the ground is not soft he will likely go there and in the Boomerang.
“Steve exits the race,” said Fahey.
