A London gambler has bet #200,000 on Donald Trump becoming the next president of america.
If the candidate defeats Democrat Hillary Clinton in Tuesday’s election stands to acquire # 500,000 on top of the original sum.
The monumental gamble comes after bookies announced the 2016 US presidential elections had smashed betting records, with much more wagers anticipated to be set on the Derby, ” the EU referendum, or the Euro 2016 final than on the outcome.
Since then, several six-figure stakes have been put by gamblers across Britain on the two candidates winning the race.
The bet was made on online gaming website Spreadex.
Connor Campbell, a fiscal analyst in Spreadex, stated:”It’s official, the US election is now our single biggest betting event ever and we are seeing some huge bets being put, for example one client who has staked #200,000 on a Trump victory.”
