La’el Collins agrees five-year deal with Dallas Cowboys

Right tackle La’el Collins has consented to a $50m contract expansion with the Dallas Cowboys.
According to sources, the price includes $35m that’s the amount in the league for a proper tackle.
Despite Ezekiel Elliott trio Dak Prescott and Amari Cooper looking for paydays of their own – using the holdout of Elliott looking like it is going to continue into the year – that the Cowboys locked yet another newcomer that was young up by expanding Collins’ deal and solidifying their line.
Back in August, they passed out a $64m contract.
26, collins, signed as an undrafted free agent out of LSU following NFL teams passed him in the draft days after he had been questioned at a former girlfriend’s murder – although not being a defendant.
By the time the analysis showed Collins wasn’t involved, he was already a member of the Cowboys’ roster, registering a three-year, ” 1.5m contract.
Owner Jerry Jones promised to update this initial deal, also followed with a two-year, $15.4m contract at 2017.
Collins started his NFL career in guard but has put the ideal side of the line to All-Pro Tyron Smith on the left side as a bookend.
