Charles Leclerc, winner of the previous two races in Belgium and Italy, says his Ferrari team are expecting a”more difficult weekend” in Singapore.
The Asian street trail, the very first of long-haul races which remain this year, isn’t anticipated to suit Ferrari’s car.
“The race in Singapore doesn’t seem as good on paper to people,” said Leclerc.
“That’s because of the very different circuit design, with a great deal of slow corners and even fewer straights.”
This season broke the victory duck of Ferrari along with his two wins at Spa and Monza, circuits where speed and engine performance are the characteristics in discovering lap time.

Ferrari team manager Mattia Binotto said the team would be taking upgrades to their car to Singapore in an attempt to lower their deficit for their competitors.
Mercedes head to the Singapore weekend as favourites, as their automobile has been particularly strong on paths with lots of corners that are slow this past year.
After taking pole position using a few of the greatest laps of his career lewis Hamilton, who won the race , will look to take the next step towards his domain.
He enters the weekend 65 points clear from team-mate Valtteri Bottas. The Finn is 36 points clear from Dutchman Max Verstappen.
Red Bull are predicted to be Mercedes’ closest rivals in Singapore, where poor air quality as a consequence of fires in neighbouring Indonesia, burning is a concern entering a race known as the most demanding of the season because of the hot and humid tropical climate.
Mercedes F1 manager Toto Wolff stated:”For quite a while, Singapore was one of those weakest tracks, but we have made some inroads into that and done well last year.
“But there are no home runs at a course like Singapore: All ” We will need to comprehend this automobile and this year’s tyres onto a very special track layout and take absolutely nothing for granted in our approach into the weekend. We are anticipating a difficult battle.”
