Daniel Stendel will undoubtedly be one of the candidates considered by Sunderland chairman Stewart Donald to succeed the sacked Jack Ross.
The Stendel left his role at Barnsley on Tuesday as boss – a decision criticised regardless of the club behind the Championship.
Stendel led Barnsley to promotion back to the second tier last year this week and Sunderland chairman Donald is searching for exactly that finish by supervisors.
Quoted from the Sunderland Echo, chairman Donald explained:I am convinced [Stendel will] be someone that well potentially look at it.
However, this is the reality of this Jack has abandoned the soccer club since I have made the decision call that advertising this year has the very best chance this season, potentially, with somebody else.

Sunderland are now sixth in the League One table, eight points behind league leaders Ipswich.
