(CNN) — Tiger Woods has shown he underwent knee surgery a week and says he hopes to return to golfing in October.
The Masters champion announced he had arthroscopic surgery to fix minor cartilage damage in his left knee.
The 43-year-old said he’ll return at Japan — at the new occasion — that the Zozo Championship of the PGA Tour in 24-27 October.
“I am walking and hope to resume clinic in the upcoming few weeks,” the 15-time important winner mentioned on Twitter. “I anticipate traveling and playing Japan in October.”
Woods has had a number of procedures on his knee over the duration of his career, and in the past few years has experienced four surgeries including spinal fusion surgery in 2017.
His physician Dr. Vern Cooley said he expected Woods to make a”full recovery.”
“We did exactly what was needed, and also examined the entire knee. There were no extra difficulties,” added Dr. Cooley, that was also a part of the group that carried his reconstructive ACL surgery on his left knee following his 2008 US Open success.

Woods finished an 11-year wait for his 15th important in April when he won the Masters but since then he has missed the cut at the PGA Championship and the Open.
He complained of stiffness and soreness in his back in the Open and pulled out of the Arnold Palmer Invitational earlier this year with a neck strain.
“I’m simply not moving nicely,” he told reporters at Royal Portrush. “It’s only the way it’s. It a few procedures and father time I’ve had over time. It’s only the way it is going to be.”
Woods also withdrew at New Jersey from the Northern Trust of the month mentioning a negative strain but returned for the BMW Championship.
He failed to make up for a week’s season-ending Tour Championship at East Lake, where he clinched his first victory for five years past September.
