Tiger Woods undergoes knee surgery, eyes October return

(CNN) — Tiger Woods has revealed he underwent knee surgery a week and says he hopes to return to golfing in October.
The Masters winner declared he had surgery to fix cartilage damage in his left knee.
The 43-year-old said he’ll return in 24-27 — in Japan at the brand new occasion — the Zozo Championship of the PGA Tour October.
“I am walking now and expect to resume exercise in the next few weeks,” the 15-time important winner mentioned on Twitter. “I anticipate traveling and playing in Japan in October.”
Woods in recent years has experienced four spine operations including spinal fusion operation in 2017, and has had several processes on his knee over the span of his career.
His physician Dr. Vern Cooley stated he expected Woods to create a”full recovery.”
“We did exactly what was required, and also examined the whole knee. There were no additional problems,” added Dr. Cooley, who was also part of the team that carried out his reconstructive ACL surgery on his knee following his 2008 US Open success.

Woods ended an 11-year wait for his 15th major in April when he won the Masters but since he has missed the cut in the Open and the PGA Championship.
He pulled from the Arnold Palmer Invitational earlier this season and also complained of stiffness and soreness in his back in the Open.
“I’m just not moving nicely,” he told colleagues at Royal Portrush. “It’s only the way it is. It is just some procedures and father time I’ve had more than time. It’s just the way it is likely to be.”
Woods also withdrew at New Jersey from the month’s Northern Trust mentioning a side strain but returned for the BMW Championship.
He failed to make up at East Lake, last September where he clinched his first success for five years.
