Richard Agar appointed Leeds Rhinos head coach

Richard Agar has been named in a rolling contract as Leeds Rhinos’ new head trainer for the 2020 year .
Agar was in temporary charge after Leeds missing 10 of their first 14 Super League games, since Dave Furner was sacked in May.
The prior France head coach has since directed Leeds to seven wins in their succeeding 14 league games along with the Rhinos are set to finish eighth at the table.
Agar stated:”I have thoroughly enjoyed working for this particular group of players and helping them turn the corner this season.
“This is an outstanding golf club both on and off the field, and it is our duty over the coming decades to once again challenge for honours over a sustained period.”
Agar supported to Sky Sports that he held”positive” talks with team chief executive Gary Hetherington and director of rugby Kevin Sinfield after last Sunday’s win in London Broncos, which effectively procured their Super League status.
After Agar’s appointment, Sinfield stated:”We’re thrilled to have the ability to affirm Richard as our new Head Coach.
“The way he’s conducted this season, during very challenging circumstances, has shown us he is the perfect man for the job.
“We’re lucky to be able to call upon one of their most experienced trainers in the game and importantly someone who knows our players and knows the capacity for this group of young guys.”
The 47-year-old began working as Furner’s helper when James Lowes left the club for union in April and shot on a temporary basis when the Australian was terminated.
The primary objective of agar was to avoid.
