Serena Williams breezes into US Open semi-finals

As she withdrew China’s Wang Qiang 6-1 6-0 in the US Open quarter-finals, just one game dropped.
It was Williams’ victory in the US Open, also the fastest at the tournament of this year.
Williams was not bothered by the ankle as she pushed past 18th-seeded Qiang to move to a 24th Grand Slam singles decoration she wrapped in her previous game.
Williams won the first five matches in around 15 minutes. Then, after falling one game, the 37-year-old gathered the following 11 points in every remaining game and a row.
Williams ended with 25 champions to zero for Wang, who played her first, also will confront Number 5 seed Elina Svitolina to get a berth in the last.
“From when I first started here… I never believed I would get to 100,” Williams said of her success landmark.
“did not even cross my mind I’d still be outside here. But I love everything I do.”
The American said that the ankle she rolled during her fourth-round match wasn’t an issue:”Physically, I’m feeling great, and more than anything I am having fun each time I come out .”
