The motorsport community paid its worth on Tuesday to Anthoine Hubert in the Frenchman’s funeral.
Rushing coworkers and long-time buddies, such as Pierre Gasly Charles Leclerc, Esteban Ocon, and George Russell, joined friends and Hubert’s family to recall that the 22-year-old.
Hubert was killed on August 31 in a F2 accident at Spa-Francorchamps.
A portrait of Hubert was exhibited beyond the palace. Walkers’ wreck helmets were laid out as a mark of respect inside on seats.
Hubert, the winner of this GP3 championship last year, was a part of Renault’s catalyst academy, and also the Enstone group posted a heartfelt tribute to him social media, describing him as a”good” man.
The Formula 2 championship tweeted:”Now, we remembered the shining light of a few of the greatest stars, Anthoine Hubert, with the remaining part of the motorsport community. Our ideas have been with all people nearest to him, as his life has been celebrated today at Chartres Cathedral.”
FIA president Jean Todt and world winner Alan Prost, who is a Renault F1 adviser, were also among those in attendance.
