Anthoine Hubert: Respects paid at F2 driver’s funeral in France

Even the motorsport community paid its worth to Anthoine Hubert in the Frenchman’s funeral.
Rushing colleagues and long-time friends, such as Charles Leclerc, Pierre Gasly, Esteban Ocon, along with George Russell, combined the family and friends of Hubert in the service from Chartres, France to remember the 22-year-old.
Hubert was killed on August 31 in an F2 accident at Spa-Francorchamps.
A portrait of Hubert was displayed outside the palace where the funeral has been held. Walkers’ crash helmets were laid out on seats indoors as a sign of respect.
Hubert, the winner of the GP3 championship last year, was a member of Renault’s motorist academy, along with the Enstone group submitted a heartfelt tribute to him on social media, describing him as a”great” guy.
The Formula 2 championship tweeted:”Today, we remembered the shining light of a few of the brightest stars, Anthoine Hubert, with the remainder of the motorsport community. Our ideas have been with all people closest to him, as his life has been celebrated today at Chartres Cathedral.”
FIA president Jean Todt and world winner were among those in attendance.
