Jadon Sancho has teamed up to help establish a football pitch in south London in the hope of inspiring others.
Sancho, who had been born in Camberwell and increased Kennington, played a role in the initiative to help boost local centers in south London.
Growing up in Kennington has made me the man that I am today; I owe a lot to South London for bettering the way I perform, Sancho said. I expect the regional children feel empowered to share their stories through football and follow in my footsteps – that pitch being just the ignition point.
As the house of the Lambeth Tigers, a football team for young people aged six to 18, the pitch will provide the regional footballers of all SE11 access to the best facilities possible.
David Marriott and Jamahl Jarrett equally climbed up on a nearby estate along with the 2 coaches assisted with the founding of the team and explained the pitch asrefuge for youngsters.
Theres a real need for safe places for all these kids to play in, said Jarrett. A pitch such as this is similar to a sanctuary for kids, inviting them to get into soccer in a safe environment. The trendy, bright layout is also like a magnet – its a place where people will want to get outside and play
The Tigers will use the pitch annually to help supply opportunities to over 300 players locally through training, workshops and training and empower soccer programming.
