Sky Sports News followed Jack Holloway-Bartle and Brighton & Hove Albion fans George for their experience at Falmer at the Amex.
George is a wheelchair user and he and his brother Jack are all now autistic.
Seeing Brighton is a part of George’s life and taking part in game has helped him. “I have difficulty walking around the stadium. My wheelchair is useful to me and that means a lot. The arena is excellent and the staff are excellent. Just being at the games makes me, the atmosphere is simply brilliant.”
In the Amex, there are lifts and corridors to allow for wheelchair accessibility. Brighton charity held a fundraiser for George back so that he could find a wheelchair of his very own.
George added,”They’ve done brilliantly, they have done really excellent. Donating that chair to me was good.”
George’s father Matthew Bartle requires him younger brother Jack to Brighton’s home games.
“I takes quite a little lot of time to get the boys ready for a game since they have extra needs. Together with my youngest Jack, he needs a serene atmosphere for a period and receives a great deal of anxiety.
“When we get there we’ve got a disabled parking space in the floor. There is also a lift for us up to the place where George and Jack sitit’s superb.
“The club has got the balance right. Between having the appropriate facilities and making individuals feel included. Theyfeel a part of the group and’re not assessed. For me personally as a parent that is crucial.”
Staff at the stadium are trained to aid fans who do not possess demands that are visual. Millie Crowhurst wishes to make every fan feel included also is Brighton & Hove Albion’s disability liaison officer.
“Within the ground we have got a hidden handicap wristband strategy for our supporters who want it. That this wristband can be shown by them to some member of steward or security and they will help.
“All employees receive special training because of this. We got an inclusion room. We are the first from the Premier League to own this. It’s for fans who might struggle to take a seat in the primary arena to begin with.”
