Liverpool fined for fielding ineligible player Pedro Chirivella

Liverpool have now been fined #200,000 – half of that was suspended – by the EFL last week for fielding an ineligible player in their third-round Carabao Cup win from MK Dons.
Spaniard Pedro Chirivella failed to have international clearance.
The EFL stated itwasnt appropriate to divert Liverpool in the contest because ofmitigating factors.
Liverpool sponsor Arsenal in the fourth round on 29 October.
The EFL stated #100,000 of this fine will be suspended until the end of next year.
Liverpool stated theytake the judgement, punishment and outcome, which they described asproportionate using all the technical indiscretion dedicated.
Midfielder Chirivella needed the paperwork by the Football Association following a loan spell at Spanish side Extremadura season.
The EFL said Liverpool hadsought the assistance of the Football Association prior to the summer, and was allowed to comprise Chirivella on the group sheet for Premier League Two games, the under-23 competition.
An EFL announcement read:The clubs violation was in part due to the challenges it struck with securing the right global clearance, and its subsequent capacity to include the player on team sheets despite the absence of clearance.
As a result the board reasoned that the most appropriate sanction was a monetary punishment.
Liverpool said:Although there have been mitigating factorsthat have been outside our control or authority, we consider it appropriate we apologise into the contests governing body and to Milton Keynes Dons.
Liverpool have to cover the of #100,000, plus another sanction, if they had been to area another player in the contest.
Sunderland were fined from the Premier League and the EFL when they fielded ineligible player Ji.
