Police say they are investigating after an FA Cup game between Haringey Borough and Yeovil Town was abandoned amid reports of abuse by fans.
Officers are investigating after things were thrown onto the playing area, a Metropolitan Police spokesperson told BBC Sport.
Saturdays match was abandoned after the supervisor of Haringey took his team off the field .
There have been no arrests yet and inquiries are ongoing.
The match, played at the Coles Park Stadium of Haringey, had been with the winner set to advance proper, in the qualifying round of the FA Cup.
Haringey goalkeeper Valery Douglas Pajetat was reportedly spat at and struck by an object thrown from the Yeovil Town end.
Defender Coby Rowe was subsequentlyracially abused, based on Haringey boss Tom Loizou, who saidthere was no way I could let him last.
Somerset and avon Police states it will be helping the Met, also have asked anyone to get hold of them.
The Football Association can be investigating and said it wasdeeply concerned about the allegations.
There is no room for discrimination in our game and we are working with the game officials and the relevant governments, as a matter of urgency, to fully establish the details and take the appropriate measures, said an FA statement.
The incident came days after Englands Euro 2020 qualifier in Bulgaria was halted twice as lovers were warned about racist behaviour, such as Nazi salutes and monkey chanting.
Haringey play in the Isthmian League Premier Division and Yeovil are in the National League.
Its very distressing, Loizou told BBC Radio 5 Live. The insult a few of my players got was so also disgusting.
Yeovils gamers and director were distinct course. Their staff strove to calm down their supporters, they tried their best and they encouraged us they saidwere walking away together with you, when youre walking off.
I took the decision to take off my team and I dont need Yeovil Town to get punished for this. They go through and if we get thrown from the FA Cup, theres not any hard feelings .
I havent done it for every other motive than looking into my players faces and seeing just how distraught they had been. They arent used to this
Visitors Yeovil led 1-0 through a Rhys Murphy punishment when the game was stopped in the 64th minute.
There was a very lengthy delay with Haringey keeper Pajetat reportedly initially struck by an object from the racks, for that spot-kick to be obtained.
As the hosts left the field shortly after Murphy scored, play has been suspended. It had been confirmed the match had formally been abandoned.
Haringey stated on Twitter:Game has been abandoned following racial abuse. Horrendous afternoon.
It has to be said that 99.9percent of [Yeovil] lovers will also be disgusted by whats occurred as much as we are. One club, 1 community.
In a statement Yeovil reported the teamwont accept racism or discrimination in any form and that they willbe cooperating with the police and our buddies in Haringey.
Yeovil Town director Darren Sarll informed BBC Somerset:On behalf of Yeovil Townwe completely support Haringey and we stay together.
The players and I decided we would encourage [Haringey] and make a stand together, and also be more powerful with togetherness.
My head is in an absolute spin. I have gone through a scenario.
We, footballers and managers, have a good deal of abuse but no one else should feel discriminated against if they are come to play football.
I feel weve done the correct thing. Im not going to feel anything apart from proud for the way the players ran themselves.
Now the authorities will take care of what they will have to take care of.
England and Aston Villa defender Tyrone Mings, that was mistreated in Bulgaria on Tuesday, praised Haringeys response and said:Our country is not perfect either.
The campaign group Kick It Out mentioned in a statement:These reports of alleged racist abuse aimed toward goalkeeper Valery Douglas Pajetat yet again means gamers are continuing to receive discriminatory abuse when doing their job.
The Haringey supervisor and players took decisive and swift action as a result of the misuse, very similar to that taken from the England team out in Bulgaria.
Kick Out It has advised the FA and will encourage the club identifying the offender(s) to make sure suitable action is taken and also robust punishment issued.
We would also like to supply our whole service to Douglas and at Haringey Borough FC.
