This is a rematch of a contest between both of these teams from a year ago the Browns won. That was the game where QB Baker Mayfield obtained his first shot because he completed 17 of 23 hooked up with WR Jarvis Landry eight times for 103 yards and passes, and that he was quite efficient.
Meanwhile, Jets QB Sam Darnold fought that night, tossing two interceptions and connecting on 50 percent of his passes.
Both Jets and the Browns are coming off disappointing losses in Week 1 and find themselves at a must-win scenario. Mayfield was dreadful, throwing three choices, as a whole than the Jets and Sam Darnold do, but I could find him bouncing back, especially since he has more weapons on offense.
Le’Veon Bell ripped the Jets out from a day offensively as he made a great catch on third down and made a much better catch for a two-point transformation after. The Jets still, however, lacked big plays down the field from receivers and I believe that’s on Darnold. He gets the crime too predictable whereas Mayfield will make plays and shoot shots.
I can see Mayfield using end David Njoku properly running back Nick Chubb also has a game and gets to the corners and when needed.
By game’s end, place the 3 factors and the Baker & Browns dip back, and enter the win column for head trainer Freddie Kitchens.
Prediction: Browns 23 – Jets 16. Chubb has 100 yards and a touchdown, Browns defense receives a pick-six. It’s Groundhog Day around for Darnold because he throws no TDs and two choices and also the Browns conquer New York back again.
